Which payments this covers
This policy covers platform payments for credits or subscriptions made through ConnectLawyers.in. Payments made directly to a lawyer are governed by your agreement with that lawyer. Platform support can review its own transaction records but cannot independently reverse a payment made outside its checkout.
Review before paying
Check the product, amount, currency, included usage and subscription duration before authorising payment. Platform purchases do not include independent lawyer fees unless explicitly stated at checkout. Agree professional fees, taxes, filing charges and other expenses with your lawyer before work starts.
Failed, duplicate or incomplete purchases
If money was debited but credits or subscription access did not appear, avoid repeating the payment immediately. Keep the payment or order reference and contact support. We will need to reconcile the platform order with the provider’s record. Duplicate debits and confirmed platform delivery failures can be reviewed for correction or refund.
Requesting a review
Email admin@connectlawyers.in with the account email, order or payment reference, payment date, amount and a brief description of the problem. For technical non-delivery, please report it within seven days if possible so it can be investigated promptly. Do not send card numbers, CVV values, banking passwords or OTPs. This reporting request does not remove any applicable statutory rights.
Credits and subscriptions already used
Tell support whether any purchased credits or subscription benefits have been used. A request involving partial use requires review of the transaction and usage history. Do not assume that closing an account automatically cancels a payment or generates a refund. Ask for a refund review separately and keep your transaction details before closing the account.
Review outcome and payment timing
A support request is not an automatic approval. The outcome depends on the payment record, delivery status, usage and applicable rights. Where a monetary refund is approved, it should be returned through the original payment channel when available. Bank and payment-provider processing times vary; ask support for the refund reference if a confirmed refund does not arrive.
Credit adjustments versus monetary refunds
A case-related credit adjustment restores platform credits where the feature provides for it. It is different from money returned to a bank account. Check your credit history and payment history separately when reporting an issue.
Lawyer fees and disputes
Agree cancellation and refund terms with the lawyer in writing before engaging them. For a dispute about legal work, first raise the matter with that lawyer and keep a record of the scope, agreed fees and work delivered. Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer or other legal remedy.
